Synopsis:

Vinnie Hollis is an out of work nightclub bouncer, desperate for any work in the recession hit town of Coalshed. Employed by pensioner Albert Jackson to guard Topside Allotments 17 foot prize carrot on the eve of a big competition. Vinnie foils an attempt by Topside's rivals Onionhead and Weedkiller Willie to nap the carrot. Only to discover they steal it at the show when Vinnie's not there. Albert once again enlists the help of Vinnie and his flirtatious lover Lisa to set up a honey trap in Topside's famous 'Loveshed'. To snare Onionhead and recover the prize carrot.

Synopsis:

'Laughs from Leicestershire' consists of three of Keith's new one act plays 'Whine Fever', 'The Ticket Collector' and 'Prima Donna Island' Morose Todoom gets happy on being miserable. The unlikeliest of office Romeos. . .or is he? Three's a crowd when Water Cooler Wendy is injected against 'Whine Fever' and Sick Note Sarah wishes she had. The race to woo a whiner, very much has its attractions. In 'The Ticket Collector' Mis-Management has a plan. First buy a ticket from the unmanned machine. Then buy a second on the train. Yes you've got it. You've got to buy a ticket to buy a ticket. Imagine the public backlash. Imagine the one job you'd never want. Railway conductor Ronald Swift has that job. Left alone on a late night train with the beautiful but ticketless Marcella Ashford, Ronald thinks he can turn the madcap system to his advantage. . .until a speaking Polar Bear appears with a grudge from Ronald's secret past. Keith Large's renowned sharp dialogue and witty observations, takes on all those love yourself prima donnas and puts them on an island to face cold custard pies and itchy jelly.
