Mary Kron earned her B.F.A. in Directing/Acting at Central Michigan University. She immediately jumped into the Grand Rapids area Community Theatre scene, both on and offstage, and ended up as Education Director for one of the largest Theatre Arts Schools in the country at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. In developing performance programs for the school, Mary started writing suitable scripts -- more than 30 to date. Rock of Ages was developed for a teedult performance class. Mary has also written several articles on Education for AACT's national magazine, Spotlight.

Synopsis: | Rilla has finally gotten her life back together after her husband was killed in a mining accident nine years ago, and hopes that her children will lead better lives away from the mines. Her friends in the community have also suffered similar tragedies and are trying to cope with their losses. When a second cave-in occurs, however, the women must survive yet another tragedy, especially when it is revealed that Rilla's son was working in the mines behind his mother's back. | |||||
