Synopsis: | Hello Failure is the comical, unpredictable, and lyrical account of seven submariner's wives negotiating the peculiar drama of absence. In Hello Failure, Krisetn Kosmas's singular voice and distinctive theatrical sensibility create an oddly affecting and delightfully disorienting world, where communication and bridges collapse, and little attempts at kindness are botched or lost in the mail. As a support group for wives of submariners on mission meets, one of their members locks herself in the bathroom and confronts the catalyst of their loneliness and fear, Horace Hunley, infamous developer of a specific class of submarine; his Confederate creations continually sank only to be recovered and re-manned; after a successful mission, his eponymous sub sank once again-this time with Horace on it. He's conjured by Rebecca, appropriately enough, while she is locked in her bathroom. | |||||
