| Synopsis: | Cloud Cuckoo Land is a modern comedy, freely adapted from The Birds by Aristophanes, the Greek comedy writer. Originally written for a drama festival two and a half thousand years ago, the central theme of the play is as relevant today as it was then. Two disenchanted city friends, fed up with bureaucracy, taxes and the cost of living, decide to leave the country and seek a better life. They find freedom and opportunity in the realm of the birds, but they also find they cannot escape their human nature. | |||||
