Richard James has been a professional actor since graduating from the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1992. In the years since, he has gained experience across all media but most notably in television. His film credits include a live action version of 'The Wind in the Willows' with the Monty Python team, 'Stormbreaker', 'Penelope', 'A Bunch of Amateurs' opposite Burt Reynolds and 'A Lover's Prayer' in which he played Kirsten Dunst's husband. On British television, Richard has shared the screen with Julie Walters, Steven Berkoff, Richard Harris and Christopher Walken to name but a few and has played regular roles in numerous children's television series, most notably the part of Mr Kronkite in 30 episodes of 'The Mysti Show' and the rather bumptious knight, Sir Gestion, in 'Sir Gadabout - The Worst Knight in the Land'. He also spent a year under prosthetic makeup playing the part of Officer Orrin in Gerry Anderson's live action sci-fi series, 'Space Precinct'. As a writer, Richard has written many plays and television scripts over the years, some for television shows with which he's been involved and others, like his Victorian police series 'Tales From The Yard' and his sit-com 'Writer's Cramp' which look set to spend the rest of eternity in development hell.
