Synopsis: | A writer's life and work are like two locked caskets, each containing the key to the other.' A day in the life of the Danish writer, Karen Blixen (author of Out Of Africa and Babette's Feast). The Baroness opens her curtains to see snow-covered Denmark, but her mind travels back to extraordinary memories of her life in Kenya: of running a coffee farm, romantic safaris, meetings with the Kikuyu tribes, and ultimately, tragedy. As the day progresses these memories are transformed into fantastical stories as the characters of her fiction come alive, and her imagination carries her on into the darkness. | |||||
