The play is a comedic allegorical mixed media play lampooning the fortune telling industry. David Tran is a cross-dressing fortune teller in the gay district, Montrose, of Houston. He let the fame and good fortune of being a psychic -to-the-stars go to his head, and his business partner is furious at the way he is blowing through their company's funds. Ms Fortune Cookie encounters lost souls Martha, Chance, Jack and Judy and gives them a reading that changes their lives.
