Synopsis: | The day is Kate's birthday - but each family member seems to have something else on their mind. Debbie's failing marriage can be consoled by only Jack, her husband's gay brother. Amelia - currently studying frantically for her exams, comes across some trouble in her younger brother and his buying habits, and her own English teacher, James. Kate's first and only appearance brings the play crashing to its finale, as the sound of a lone party popper is heard. Cohering to J. S. Hamilton's work with familial relationships, this dark and twisted play strays far from the convention of both the author and playwriting alike. | |||||
