Erik was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Playwright, lyricist and director he obtained his Batchelor's Degree in Theatre from Northwestern University and a Master's Degree in Writing for the Musical Theatre from New York University. For the Kurt Weill Foundation he made a complete recording of the Alan Jay Lerner and Kurt Weill "Love Life". An expert on Alan Jay Lerner he organised the all-star tribute show to him staged in Los Angeles and New York. He is a senior editor and writer for "Backstage" and also writes for the "Kurt Weill Newsletter". Erik lives in Manhattan with his husband casting director Joseph McConnell

| Jonathan Rebeck lives in a cemetry in the Bronx. He talks to the ghosts of the recently departed helping them to adjust to their new circumstances. Michael, a writer has recently been buried but it is not known whether he committed suicide or whether his wife murdered him. Michael meets another ghost Laura. The widow Gertrude Klapper arrives to tend her husband's grave. Worried about Jonathan she asks him to move in with her. Michael and Laura have fallen in love and the police have found Michael's suicide note. As this is a Catholic cemetry Michael is dug up and reburied elsewhere. Laura is distraught so Jonathan and Gertrude dig up her body and rebury her with Michael. | |||||
