Synopsis: Jonathan Rebeck lives in a cemetry in the Bronx. He talks to the ghosts of the recently departed helping them to adjust to their new circumstances. Michael, a writer has recently been buried but it is not known whether he committed suicide or whether his wife murdered him. Michael meets another ghost Laura. The widow Gertrude Klapper arrives to tend her husband's grave. Worried about Jonathan she asks him to move in with her. Michael and Laura have fallen in love and the police have found Michael's suicide note. As this is a Catholic cemetry Michael is dug up and reburied elsewhere. Laura is distraught so Jonathan and Gertrude dig up her body and rebury her with Michael. | ||||
