At Joe Terle's Desert Inn there have been two residents who have been there for 21 years - Mr Fremely and Mr Smith. They are looking forward to January 29th the day it rains. But this year it does not. In the evening a car breaks down outside and Miss Blanche gets out. She has a harp. She plays it for the old men and it turns into a beautiful young woman. The young woman sings and dances and the heavens open and it pours with rain
