Synopsis:

The story is set in Germany during WW2, and life in the League of German Girls is fun for Kristina - until a young Gestapo officer seriously threatens a solemn promise she is determined to keep. The escalating problems in Nazi Germany, and her growing disillusionment with Adolf Hitler, soon become the least of her worries.

This is the one-act version of "Sparklers", an evocation of children growing up in an industrial town in the 1970s. The characters are aged 7 to 9, but are intended to be played by adults or teenagers. Run time is approximately 50 minutes.

Synopsis:

November 4th 1970 - a time for learning to swear, a time for discovering friendship, and a time for earning respect. Armed with dustbin lids and iron railings, Rachel, Susan and Tommy are prepared to guard their modest bonfire pile against an expected raid by the dreaded Dawson twins. But an even greater danger threatens to engulf them when a member of the group is lured away by the Firework Man.

Synopsis:

Sixteen year-old Rob is stunned when his sister, a talented table tennis player, is diagnosed with leukaemia. He is further shocked when it is revealed that Jessie had been adopted into the family as a young child. Angered by what he feels has been unnecessary secrecy, he becomes increasingly resentful and argumentative. Also, as his relationship with girlfriend Mel becomes difficult to maintain, Rob begins to display an irrational jealousy towards his sick sister. However, during a chat with his grandmother, Rob learns that Jessie may have a true brother or sister somewhere. This means there may be a perfect donor for Jessie's bone marrow transplant, after all. Rob realizes he now has to embark upon a quest to find that person. But how can you possibly trace someone when you don't even know their name?

Synopsis:

Two rival groups clash as they prepare for a dance team competition and find themselves forced to share the same rehearsal studio. The story develops over several weeks as their dislike for each other intensifies and builds to a climax - after which a happy ending is reached. The play offers a wide mix of characters, whose activities generate strong emotion, lots of physical action (including dance routines), some moments of quiet reflection and a fair sprinkling of humour.
