Synopsis: 1859. An isolated coastal village prepares for the arrival of Sinclair - a man to improve the fortunes of their vulnerable lives. In readiness, Charles Rafter, head of the community, insists that Moffat, the carpenter, send his daughter Agnes across the water for more supplies to finish the newcomer's house. But after an unexpected storm, another man is found washed up on the shore. As events get out of control, the community is forced to ask itself 'at what price a better life?'. Brutal yet lyrical, The Found Man is the new play from Glasgow-born writer Riccardo Galgani. | ||||
