| Synopsis: | simple morality tale concerns an old tribal chief who is denied access to the Pearly Gates because of bad choices he made in his youth. Those bad choices are played out, at the behest of his ghostly ancestors, by younge versions of himself and his daring brother, so that he can learn the error of his ways. All culminates in the shooting dead of an elepant (later brought back to life) as a potent symbol of longevity and wisdom. - Robert Dawson Scott, The Times | |||||
