Mary Lynn Dobson has worked in many facets of the theatre as a director, actor and playwright. Her newest comedy, Skin Deep was a winner in the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival. Skin Deep debuted at the Porch Light Production's New Play Festival and was performed and named a winner of both the Shortened Attention Span One-Act Festival and the Frostburg University One-Act Competition. Another one of Mary Lynn's works, lino on the Aisle, Three in a Van was performed in the 2009 NYC Fringe Festival garnering the Summer Theatre Citation for Outstanding New Play as well as being awarded Best Ensemble Cast. The play was also honored at the University of Northern Kentucky as a winner of the Y.E.S. New Play Festival and from there went on to receive its professional premiere at the Henlopen Theatre Project. Mary Lynn later returned to NKU where her comedy, Dracula, the Untold Story was staged at the NKU Summer Theatre and received its professional debut in a sold out run. She has also penned the family comedy, The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, which is published by Dramatic Publishing and has had productions mounted all throughout the US, the UK, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Austria

| From the initial pool of over 850 submissions, the Final Forty plays were chosen to be performed over a period of one week. A panel of judges comprised of celebrity playwrights, theatrical agents and artistic directors nominated one or more of each evening's plays as finalists.
