| Synopsis: | Narrators link the scenes seamlessly as we follow the road to Bethlehem, in Keith Dawson's adaptation of the classical, biblical journey to the birth of Jesus. Peter Canwell's sensitive style of music and lyrics provides the essence of this story that will be told in schools up and down the land. From the shepherd that counts sheep to help him sleep, to the innocent Wise Men seeking an audience with the mighty and treacherous Herod, we follow the journey all the way to the Innkeepers stable in Bethlehem and the cry of a new-born baby'. Fourteen songs culminate in the beautiful, lyrical number 'Because of Him', which is sure to be an absolute winner with the children and audience alike. | |||||

| Synopsis: | What if Herod had managed to get his way and prevent Jesus from growing up to be the Saviour ? That is the question behind this Nativity celebrating two thousand years of Christianity. Herod is advised by his sages of the birth of the Saviour King, but he seems unconcerned about a baby. The sages then take him on a trip through history showing him the works and miracles of Jesus, the Conversion of Paul the Roman on the road to Damascus, and the spread of Christianity. Humour abounds without being irreligious in any way, especially when the monks, seen busy copying out by hand the scriptures and books of the bible are interrupted by Murdoch, the highly inventive but hopelessly impractical brother. The story finalises with the fall of Rome and children in schools in the year two thousand, celebrating Christmas, much to Herod's annoyance ! Brilliant songs that the children will love to sing again and again are evident. | |||||

| Notes: | by Gawen Robinson and Keith Dawson | |||||
| Synopsis: | Set just before the outbreak of World War 2, We'll Meet Again follows the exploits of a group of children as they learn new skills at school - donning gas masks, hearing sirens and being instructed in the safety of the air-raid shelters. At the outbreak of War, we see the children at the railway station making their tearful farewells before evacuation. All this takes place during what was known as the "phoney war" - a time when many parents felt that the threat of bombing had been exaggerated and by early 1940 most of children had returned to their homes. In Act Two, we meet the children back home, bored stiff . But then, as the bombs begin to fall, the decision is made that the children must once more be evacuated to somewhere safe. The musical ends on Armistice Day, 1945 when children and parents are re-united, closing the show with the title song "We'll Meet Again" | |||||
