Synopsis: Floating is an engrossing exploration of the concepts of belonging and national identity. Hugh Hughes, inhabitant of Anglesey, confronts these issues with naïve wit when the Welsh island is cast adrift from the mainland during an earthquake. Left to float around the Atlantic Ocean, Hughes and his partner Sioned Rowlands ruminate on who they are, while challenging the nature of how the audience relate personally to their tale, drawing deep affection from them as they expose the intimacies of their unusual lives. Floating amuses and delights whilst asking: are we defined by where we come from? | ||||
