Chasing Rainbows carefully juxtaposes the working class reality of a Post-Thatcher Britain with New Labour's carefully polished promise of a new "Cool Britannia" for all. The label is changed, but is the message really that different? Set in Sheffield in 1996, the play is a coming of age drama sound-tracked by the guitar riffs of Britpop.
