Synopsis: | A drunken and washed-out female novelist arrives in sleep timbertown Murphy's Creek, and earns whisky money by giving writing classes. One of her pupils has some children's stories published and is very successful in the genre. Her husband is made redundant from the sawmill and is jealous of his wife's success.
