Jenny Connell is a Brooklyn-based playwright and teacher, and a member of Ars Nova's 2010-2011 Play Group. She grew up in coastal Maine, received her BA from the University of Chicago and her MFA from The University of Texas at Austin. She has performed with Court Theatre, Steppenwolf, and the Rude Mechs. Her plays have been produced or developed in Chicago, Austin, Colorado, Montana, Massachusetts, and New York City. She has been a finalist or semi-finalist for the Heideman Award, Hedgebrook, The O'Neill, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, and the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference.
