Synopsis: | Last Drinks (adapted from the novel by Andrew McGahan): It's a decade since the infamous inquiry into corruption tore the state of Queensland apart. But for George Verney, disgraced journalist and bit-player in the great scandals of his day, the inquiry has never quite finished. After ten years of self-imposed exile, drawn by the terrible death of his friend, he reluctantly returns to Brisbane, the city of his downfall. In a town he no longer recognizes and through the underworld that has forgotten him, George must seek out the other survivors of his times. He must confront the truth about their common past and find a way to let the dead rest in peace.

Synopsis: | Rio Saki and Other Falling Debris: This iconic Brisbane grunge play about the final days before the end of the world was first produced at La Boite Theatre in 1999. To quote critic Martin Buzacott, Generation Xers . . .abandoned by God and subject to information overload, contemplated their own visions of a new Doomsday. . .Ultimately, it's a play not so much about the impending apocalypse, as it is about love's ability to generate meaning and comfort in a world where the mere beat of a human heart or the simple touch of flesh can seem a latter-day miracle.

Synopsis: | Dee and Mark are two brisbane teenagers up to no good late one Friday night. In the mangroves along the banks of the Brisbane River they stumble upon a dinghy which they launch out into the dark waters of the river. They float with the current and soon encounter the ghost convict ship, The Murgo. The Murgo has come unstuck in time. Taking aboard Dee and Mark as prisoners, The Murgo flips back and forth in time randomly visiting the key events that have shaped Brisbane - the 1974 floods, the buiding of the Storey Bridge, the Battle of Brisbane. It is a journey of historical discovery and of learning one's place in history.
