Synopsis: | Two old school friends Simon and Damien meet in a pub after the suicide of their friend Julian. Simon is apparently a successful telecommunications salesman; Damien makes a living cleaning car windscreens. Julian's suicide has badly rattled them, and they begin their exchange prickly with defensiveness. A tough, gritty and tense two-hander that skillfully uncovers some of masculinity's darkest secrets. Its title refers to sex that is unpleasantly close to rape, and the play shifts its reference so that would-be perpetrators become victims. A-Framed is a black comic drama, exploring the behaviour of two men living in a world where more information doesn't equal more understanding. | |||||
