Synopsis: | The party is over, the wounded have fallen. Do you know the recovery position? Ireland is wounded. The country is in the recovery. People have left. What did we do with our revolution when we had it? What did we do with our money when we had it? London 2012, Irish immigrants face new but very familiar questions. Set in a world both recognizable and strange, The Recovery Position, explores how we make use of history and of ourselves in moments of crisis. Patterns emerge and people collide in this new play by Forked Hazel. It is a collaboration of Irish theatre makers living in London exploring the tension between the collective and the personal; of deference and responsibility. Dramatic and unsettling, absurd and entertaining, The Recovery Position asks who are we when the party is over and all we want to do is go home? | |||||
