Synopsis: | Inspired by the amorous antics of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, CRAZY FOR LOVE explores the dynamics of human attraction and love. What draws us in the first place? What keeps us together? A play with five songs, CRAZY FOR LOVE wings its way through the corridors of power and the byways of love, creating a parallel universe inhabited by two long-married, fantasy-prone shrinks, their assistants, a manic ornithologist and a parrot. As all search for true love - or an unreasonable facsimile thereof - seduction games are played, jealousy is aroused and many feathers are ruffled. Music leads the lovers on, sometimes inflaming, sometimes soothing, their supersized egos and untamed ids. And flower power, which you thought was OUT, comes back IN with a vengeance. | |||||
