Jeanne Beckwith has been writing and producing plays since 1982. She received her doctorate from the University of Georgia, and an individual artist fellowship from the Indiana Arts Council. A director as well as a playwright, Ms. Beckwith has worked both in children's theatre and as a professional actor in summer repertory theatre, most recently with the Highlands Playhouse in Highlands, North Carolina. Her plays have been produced at the University of Georgia, the Bloomington Playwrights Project in Bloomington, Indiana, and the Hypothetical Theatre Company in New York City. She currently teaches at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. She has four grown daughters and lives with her husband, Brett Cox, also a writer. She likes to walk on the beach.

Synopsis: | Some time in the near future, a military processing center in a foreign land comes under attack. The local hospital chief wants the army out of his country, while a reckless army clerk refuses to send anyone home, and the intellectual post commander is too absorbed in watching old movies to do much about anything.
