Synopsis: When construction of the Second Avenue subway forces three twenty-something friends to vacate their palatial Spanish Harlem apartment, each member of this substitute dysfunctional family must reevaluate their relationships and reassess their decision making. Diggs, a white bitter procrastinator and the primary renter of a three-bedroom apartment, grew up in the neighborhood before the newcomers and their money arrived, and he yearns for what was. Chastity, a lonely, angry Latina, talks tough but can't follow through. Webb, who is black and gay, is a masochist ensnared by a sadist. ". . .a matter of choice" examines what happens when three longtime roommates are forced to make a personal choice: Either fight to stay together or accept the distance friendships can drift - even under the same roof. | ||||
