Synopsis: | After a shooting at her school, twelve year old Portia has not left her grandmother's house or yard. A young Mexican boy, Gabriel, moves in next door. Gabriel bears an uncanny resemblance to the to the school killer. A friendship builds up between him and Portia - much to grandmother Mayflower's disapproval. She has a fence built between the properties to put an end to it. Gabriel wants to follow Mexican tradition and he has his mother's coffin brought to the house to perform the Di de los Muertos ceremony. Mayflower a judge tries to prevent it. | |||||
