Doris Baizley's plays including SHILOH RULES, MRS. CALIFORNIA, TEARS OF RAGE, GUNS, and an adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL have been produced at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Mark Taper Forum, A Contemporary Theater, People's Light and Theater Company, National Theatre of the Deaf and the Icon Theater in Taipei and the Semafor Theater in Prague. Her newest play, SEXSTING, written in collaboration with criminal defense lawyer Susan Raffanti, was the winner of the 2004 Guthrie/Playwrights' Center Two-Headed Challenge. She is a founding member of LA Theater Works (originally Artists in Prison).
