Born in Rochester, NY on January 15, 1950. B.A. in English, Mills College, 1970; M.F.A. in Writing, Columbia University, 1976. Poems published in: Partisan Review, New Letters, Kayak, Epoch and many others. Worked for four years as an editor and radio producer for Black Box Magazine, Watershed Tapes (series of contemporary poets reading their own work on cassette tapes), The Poem That Never Ends, a series of programs on contemporary U.S. poetry for public radio.
