| Synopsis: | aim is to "bring an awareness of Jewish culture to a wider audience". Jewish thirty something North-West Londoner, Deborah, is sorting through her late mother's things, as the latter's ghost looks on. Discovering an old necklace, Deborah tries it on and is suddenly transported into the home of its owner - her great-great grandmother, who lived in 19th century Poland. With warmth, comedy and lots of chat about chicken soup and nice and not-so-nice Jewish boys, the play explores female jewish identity - the good and the bad sides - through the eyes of the three characters. Gaby Wine, Jewish Chronicle. | |||||
