Janice Wiseman makes her home in Guelph, Ontario. As co-founder and writer-in-residence of the Guelph Children's Theatre Company, she began writing full time, receiving commissions for scripts for young audiences which toured Wellington County. She also received a commission from the Blyth Festival and participated in Tarragon Theatre's Playwrights' Development Unit. Canadian Mental Health Association/Guelph-Wellington also commissioned eight puppet plays dealing with children's mental health issues. Her plays continue to be performed in schools throughout Ontario.
