Synopsis: | a play about Hally, a mercurial woman in her mid-thirties who is also a theoretical physicist. It takes place on a 27 foot sailboat in Vancouver where she has arrived from Saskatchewan after the death of her husband, Wade. With a bottle of champagne and an enormous need to battle her emotions with the force of her intellect, Hally embarks on a conversation with her husband Wade and two other unusual members of the marina community. From the Greek myth of Halcyon to the physics of light, this is a play about the search for a rational basis for hope. It is also, ultimately, a love story. | |||||
