Synopsis: | Teams are great. Football, colleagues, relationships. Great until you go off them, decide to see how good you are alone - or not. Darren and Julie's marriage is over. With no kids to worry about, leaving should be straightforward. If only Darren didn't think Julie couldn't cope without him or Julie didn't think Darren couldn't cope without her. Avoiding the unpleasantness of ending a relationship they train for a triathlon. Cycling is easier than being honest. Jogging is preferable to saying "I don't love you". Running beats reality. Life will be great after the triathlon, after the relationship. Won't it? NB The author gives permission for this play to be performed by a same sex cast after approved minimum necessary changes to text to make the dialogues relevant. | |||||
