Shortly after the workshop, the group presented Infiltrage 1 at the Flea, which was a highly successful evening of short plays. Since then, the group has existed as a loose, but supportive assemblage of writers, directors, and actors which has grown and contracted and morphed into other creative outlets, before reforming in its original configuration. Now the company presents Infiltrage 2: Earth, Wind & Fire, an evening of 6 short plays by Elisa Abatsis, Molly Goforth, Joseph Brendan Martin, Dale Perreault, Eric Scholl, and Jonathan Wallace.

Synopsis: | The three Molloy siblings, each of whom make a living in the software industry, did not have a happy childhood and all bear scars from that time as they try to make their way in the world. Youngest child (and program designer) Deirdre, the most intelligent of the three, is rather shy and withdrawn, with none of the drive that rules elder brother Liam or her lover Victoria. When some of the Deirdre's computer programs become worth millions, she balks at selling out to big software corporations (who she equates with evil incarnate), wanting just enough money (and personal space) to live happily with her significant other. Deirdre also can't understand why everyone else doesn't want the same things she does. (As for Victoria, when she's not managing the company's finances, she enjoys writing lesbian science fiction and listening to the Ramones.) Meanwhile Liam, owner of his own software company, and a survivor above all else, angry at having to take care of everyone in his family when he was a kid, has become hard and emotionally distant. He has a tempestuous on-again, off-again relationship with high school sweetheart Darcy (an aspiring actress) and is somewhat dismissive to Victoria. He also regards his brother and co-worker Aidan as little better than hired help. So much so that Aidan (the nerd of the family) jumps ship to join Deirdre and Victoria's business venture-with "shapeshifter" being one of the many programs they develop. Aidan is always looking for the next big opportunity, but wants success (both professionally and personally) to simply be handed to him, and isn't willing to do the hard work required to earn it. Despite their differences, each character in shapeshifter has at their core a similar problem, an inability to grow. Amid business meetings and family confrontations on a Montauk beach, identities and personalities (and dolphins and stones) are discussed and dissected as we realize that adaptation (i.e., shapeshifting) which is only skin deep can be just as detrimental as the refusal to change at all. And when all is said and done, the failure to do so may lead to a catastrophic system failure from which no reboot is possible
