Synopsis: | Meet the Christiansons: Husband Tom. Reads the paper. Wife Pamela. Likes to dust. And Rudolf. Canine. Blue. All-powerful. With a big blue chip on his shoulder. He likes to defy the laws of physics all over the guests-or rather Special Guest Stars. Hey, was that the doorbell? It's not unlike The Electra Saga, except for the all-powerful blue dog. And there's a human inkblot. And devil. And snowman. And Freud. Okay, it's not much like The Electra Saga. Except for the matricide. Befuddled by the contradictory juxtaposition of asexual 'Ozzie & Harriet' role models and smoldering Freudian advertising, Tom and Pamela have lost their ability to reason. Rudolf is steamed and he won't rest until Tom can think again-or Pamela is dead. Mix that with a dash of Ionesco for zany social commentary and a pinch of Sophocles for gravitas and there you have it. Synopsis: | From Ireland to Newfoundland, from New Bedford to New York, Wake imagines a world where we are a composite of each other's memories and all the memories that predate us, our parents' memories and their parents' memories. Through stories and the act of remembering, three generations of an Irish American family are relived as the children excavate their parents' stories and come to a truer undestanding of the family's history. Down on her luck and uninspired by her own future prospects, Deirdre Sullivan moves into her family home which has been deserted since her father (esteemed writer, Dan Sullivan) died nearly two years ago.
