Synopsis:

Robert returns from a family holiday to find that his mistress, Eleanor, has had a near death experience and spends most of her time staring into a box of bright lights. Convinced she is insane, Robert drinks some whisky downstairs with Eleanor's down-to-earth sister, Pauline - but Pauline is experiencing a mid-life crisis of her own and, made bold by the alcohol, tries to seduce Robert. Just in time, Robert's wife, suffering a crisis of her own, arrives to take him home. Eleanor is left, ecstatic, bathed in a pool of red light, possibly signifying her suicide. Practical Pauline is left to pick up the pieces as usual.

Synopsis:

With the aid of his walkie-talkie, Bert runs the Muscle Gym as if it were a military campaign. Jody, a PE teacher, under stress at work and in her personal life, is better at dealing with other people's problems than her own. Since her marriage break-up, Amanda is trying hard to be assertive rather than aggressive, but not finding it easy. George is a dedicated body builder and has little time for other people's problems. Mother of two, Lorraine, is going through a marital crisis and her addiction to Mars Bars is growing. Man-mad Selina is possibly not the bimbo she appears to be. Meanwhile the women's gym is in danger of being closed down. In the women's rest room, in between workouts, the women bond and bicker, as confidences are exchanged and advice freely offered. But can they unite to save the gym?

Synopsis:

Elaine, Melissa and Sophie turn up for a class reunion at Harcourt Grange, where they were boarders some thirty years previously. It soon becomes clear that this reunion is not quite what it seems. For one thing, only the three of them have been invited and, for another, something seems to be wrong with the wine. A strange tale unfolds, as we discover that Sophie, who has spent much of her life in therapy, has set up this reunion to meet the two girls who bullied her so mercilessly all those years ago. Is it revenge or is it some sort of reconciliation that Sophie seeks?
