Ms. Amstel has served as Writer-in Residence at Nimrod, Sydney in 1983 and was associated with the Australian Film and Television School in 1984 and TN Theatre Company, Brisbane, in 1985. She holds current memberships in NIDA Playwrights Studio and the Australian Writers Guild wherein she is active in tutoring young playwrights including the International Festival of Young Playwrights, Sydney, 1985. Pamela Van Amstel has a B.S. in Social Work and two certificates in nursing.
