Synopsis: | Six ladies, dissatisfied with the performance of their male dominated Parish Council stand for election and are returned. None of the ladies have experience in local government and as the parish clerk resigned and left the village on an extended holiday they have little guidance on how to proceed. Not all the ladies are known to each other and those who do are not necessarily friends. One or two have strong opinions and ideas on how the council should be run, others see it as an opportunity to make friends and influence people. The rest are bemused at their election. | |||||
