Synopsis: | LIT401 is an original production that was written by two local Buffalo area actors. Drew Derek Piatek and Gordon Tashjian studied theater performance at the University of Buffalo, and have been working at various theaters around town. They are primarily actors but last summer started working on an original script dealing with school shootings; largely in response to the shootings at Virginia Tech. The play is a one-act, running about 45 minutes, and is paired with a talkback that includes the actors and writers. It is a school shooting. The event itself. The play does what no other media outlet will do and shows what the inside of a classroom during a shooting might look like, and also offers insight into the mind of the shooter. | |||||
