Synopsis: | In the middle of the Depression, Anne Mitchell looses her newspaper job. She writes a hoax letter to the paper as if from "John Doe" stating that he will jump off the Brooklyn Bridge on Christmas Eve. The letter causes a sensation when published and "John Doe" is offered a column in the newspaper. | |||||
