Discovered writing whilst serving 3 ½ years in prison. Won a Koestler Award after seeing a play and meeting its writer, Simon Stephens. Attended a script writing course organized by the Royal Court Theatre, run by Jane Bodie. Released in Jan 2006, first play 'Sporadicity' featured in the Hampstead Theatres November 06 'Start Night', went on to the Goldsmiths in Feb 07 and then onto The Pleasance in April 07. Last play 'Senti-Mental' had a three week run at the Union Theatre in Southwark Feb 08. Michael Coveney reviewed that the writing was 'raw, gutsy and poetic'. Short play 'If the cap fits' will be showing at the Union Theatre June 3rd until June 24th 08. Short play 'Take it or leave it' will be showing at this years Camden Fringe Festival and 'Sporadicity (revisited and rewritten} will be showing at the Hen and Chickens in November 08.
