Synopsis: | Created in the spirit of collaboration, Game On shuffles player and spectator alike, dealing them to a table of video feeds, motion sensors, and interactive art. Basic Assembly leads the performance installation from a card table in the center of the room, interweaving text, action, and video onto viewing tables and wall projections. Seated cabaret-style around these viewing tables, the audience holds an array of perspectives on the evolving gameplay; everyone is a player. The performance builds in rounds, each time adjusting and amplifying the conditions of play. Objects, images, and space all become gamepieces in this arena of iteration and permutation | |||||
