Scott C. Sickles plays have been produced across the United States, as well as in Canada and Australia. Published works include his full-length comedy Intellectuals, as part of Smith & Kraus' New Playwrights: Best Plays of 2007, murmurs, as part of Samuel French Inc.'s Festival Plays 21, and Beautiful Noises in S&K's forthcoming anthology of ten-minute plays. Additionally, Smith & Kraus has published two monologues from Intellectuals in Best Women's Stage Monologues 2007. Sickles is the recipient of a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship for Shepherd's Bush, about the private life of E. M. Forster, and the Beverly Hills Theater Guild/Julie Harris Playwriting Award for Lightning From Heaven, which chronicles the 14-year relationship between Nobel laureate Boris Pasternak and his muse Olga Ivinskaya. Recent productions include Moonlight & Love Songs and Turtles & Bulldogs, both at the WorkShop Theater Company, and Beautiful Noises at Mind the Gap Theater. His adaptation of Anton Chekhov's short story "Misery" entitled We'll Take a Cup of Kindness Yet is slated for production in June.
