Rebecca Schlossberg is a 22-year-old emerging playwright from Livingston, New Jersey. She has written over 25 plays, including several full-lengths, read at various theaters all over the state of New Jersey. Several of her plays have been selected as semi-finalists in The Young Playwrights Festival National Competition 2005 (Facing the Wall, The Taste of the Clouds, andJust Like I Wanted). The Only Sound,another one of her works, was chosen as a finalist in this festival out of 1,000 plays submitted. Three of her pieces, The Secrets of Aiden Brooks, Blackwater, and For the First were awarded the Oxnam Robert Fischer Prize for Playwriting in association with Ensemble Studio Theater, New York City, three years consecutively. She was recently a part of the American Globe Theatre's Fifteen Minute Play Festival in NYC for her play Where Did The Bees Go; the Invagination Of The Species Bee. After graduation from Drew University, she plans to pursue an MFA in Playwriting.
