TOM ROWAN was born in New York City and raised in Colorado. He has degrees in Theatre from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and the University of Washington in Seattle. Tom moved back to New York after being awarded a Drama League Directing Fellowship in 1998. He has been the Literary Manager for The Ensemble Studio Theatre in Manhattan and has worked for the literary departments of the Denver Center Theatre Company and Queens Theatre in the Park. His plays include KISS AND CRY, THE SECOND TOSCA, and DAVID'S PLAY. Tom is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers; he has directed over fifty productions of plays ranging from Shakespeare to Coward to Williams to new scripts. He also works as a script consultant and acting teacher.
