Born in Hollywood California to Mr. & Mrs. Jorge & Mary Resto, the youngest of six . As a native California son , Andrew was on an episode of Bob Barkers Truth or Consequences , a child actor was born . Andrew Loren Resto began his formal acting / performing career in 1970 with 20th Century Fox Television, on the set of a western show called Lancer, as the roll of Grey Squirrel. An Indian boy who wanted to go to school on the days of the old west. Landing a lead in his next roll as a small runaway boy in an Indie Movie called Apple Warm, Mr. Resto went on to do Sherry Lewis and Lamb Chop Specials, Kool aid commercials , and Stage work with Jean Stapleton in The Time of the Cookoo , at the Amenson theater in LA. Having a diverse insatiable appetite for all arts, Andrew's talents took Him to a long term relationship in Ballroom Dance as an Instructor, Competitor , Regional champ, and Management . As well as the begining of a promising career in interior design. While dancing , and expressing himself in interior design, Mr. Resto's love of oil painting grew. It brought him to San Diego where he was a curator and gallery manager. In 2000, Mr. Resto landed in New York . Quickly made an impact as a published Interior Designer, Artist, thus as his work became published( New York Post , Kitchen Portfolio Magazine) and rekindled his acting talents, as well as finding new horizons as a Producer and Play Write. Two Steps Forward is his debut as a writer. His future is looking bright in making a name in new Indie films.

Synopsis: | Excited by the possibility of change, more than 132 million Americans voted in the 2008 presidential election. The same day, Californians voted to pass Proposition 8, which provides that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized" in that state. Two Steps Forward follows gay couple Corey and Seth at this historic juncture. As Seth prepares for a major art opening in New York, the couple's adopted son, Josh, returns home from college with a girlfriend. Also on hand are Josh's birth mother, the godmother who helped raise him, and a visiting aunt from California. The play is about the true definition of family and the ongoing struggle for civil rights. | |||||
