Synopsis:

Ten lively children, ages ten and eleven, have formed a club, calling themselves The Eagles. Larry calls a meeting after their teacher asks him to discuss Ada's situation. Ada is a new student and disfigured burn victim who is being ostracized at school. The members express varying degrees of sympathy for Ada, but vote to exclude her from the club. After the vote the children realize they've been locked into the clubhouse, an old shack, and someone has set fire to it. The children are rescued unharmed. They soon discover that the fire was set by Ada. How they choose to deal with what Ada has done raises important issues which are resolved positively. The play, about 45 minutes long, elicits discussion on tolerance for people who are different.

Roochel, an immigrant from Eastern Europe, worked as an operator in a dress factory during the Depression. A beautiful young woman, she was seduced and abandoned by her boss. Synopsis:

This play explores the role Miriam, Moses' sister, played in the story of the Exodus. The play, in twelve scenes, follows the early history of the Israelites and includes episodes that dramatize Biblical stories such as: Moses in the Bulrushes, Slavery, The Ten Plagues, Crossing to Freedom, Life in the Desert (Manna, Water, Columns of Fire and Cloud), The Golden Calf, The Ten Commandments, Rebellion, The Route to the Promised Land, and Journey's End. According to legend, it was Miriam's miraculous well of water that sustained the Israelites through their wanderings in the desert. In the original production one adult actor played Miriam while the other actor performed the roles of The Story Teller, Princess Batya, Yocheved, Tsippora, Sara, and various Israelits. The set is simple containing only a tent. The script includes references to the Biblical text and sources. The play is suitable for children ages 5 - 13 and can be performed by them
