Notes: | devised by Theatre-Rites and Arthur Pita
Synopsis: | A collaboration between the innovative group Theatre-Rites, which has produced several world-class shows for young people, and choreographer Arthur Pita, this 65-minute piece of dance-theatre will tickle the fancy of both over-sevens and adults who haven't entirely mis-laid their inner child. The premise is child's play: eight young dancers interact and play with curved lengths of foam that are ingeniously used both as set and props. From the opening moments, when the curtain rises on what appears to be a sinister enchanted forest, to the end, when the audience get to play with the strips of foam, this is an entertaining and witty ex-ploration of space and structures -including the human body - which is almost architectural in intent and execution.
