Synopsis: | Howard De La Cruz, famous movie director is making his first talking movie and is searching for an unknown girl to play the lead part. Renee Adoree, established silent star, with a shrill voice wants the part and unfortunately her sugar daddy is financing the picture. Miss Pinkerton, Howard's secretary decides to help by getting her gangster brother to kidnap Renee and hold her until after the auditions. She escapes. However, her benefactor decides even he can't stand her voice and pays Charlie and the gangsters to re-kidnap her. Miss Pinkerton is seen in a new light by Howard and saves the day by becoming the new star. | |||||
