Tom was born 18 Oct 1953 Macedonia, Greece arriving in Australiain 1959. He is a graduate of the University of Melbournewith a PhD from Victoria University. With the assistance of a Writer's Fellowship from the Literature Board of the Australia Council in 1991 he completed a novel, a play and a collection of poems. He has lectured in Mathematics at Victoria University, and Creative Writing at Monash University.
