Dominic Orlando came to Minneapolis in 2003 on a Jerome Foundation Fellowship to The Playwrights Center. Since then, he's worked with The Gurthrie Theater, Nautilus Music-Theater, The Jungle Theater, Teatro del Pueblo and THIRST in the Twin Cities and The Cornucopia Arts Center in Lanesboro. Other playwriting fellowships include The MacDowell Colony (residency, multi-year), The Edward Albee Foundation (residency, multi-year), The Ucross Foundation (residency), and a MasterClass with Paula Vogel at The Atlantic Center for the Arts. In NYC, Dominic's work was supported by The New York State Council on the Arts and ART/NY and presented at HERE Center for The Arts, The Lincoln Center/American Living Room Festival (multi-year), The New York International Fringe Festival (multi-year), The Samuel Beckett on Theatre Row and in an international exchange with The Pasinger/Fabrike Theatre in Munich, Germany. Dominic's Jerome play, "Juan Gelion Dances for The Sun" was workshopped at The Bay Area Playwrights Festival and will be produced by Crowded Fire Theatre in San Francisco in March. His work has been published by Playscripts and Heinemann Press. He is a CORE Member of The Playwrights Center.
